Selling Your Book

The above is a recent example from Publishers Weekly of an announcement about major book rights being sold to a top book publisher for U.S. and international publishing rights. Just imagine reading about yourself in the premier industry magazine after your own book rights were acquired!

FREE Agent Query Letter + FREE Starter Agent Contact List

Here’s a huge bonus for working with me: When I edit your manuscript, I’ll help with the marketing.  For FREE.  Specifically, I’ll draw upon my 25+ years in publishing to research and develop a list of six key literary agents to whom you should be sending a query letter with sample chapters of your manuscript.  More importantly, I will also draft the highly critical query letter that will be your vehicle to pitch your book to literary agents.

Frankly — if your query letter does not grab a lit agent’s attention — he will not even ask to look at your entire manuscript.  Anyone can write a cover letter, but what you need is a query letter specifically tailored for you, your manuscript, and the literary agent you’re pitching. It doesn’t matter how great your book is: you get one shot at an agent.  Don’t blow it with a substandard pitch in an inappropriate query letter and earn yourself a form rejection letter!

I myself am represented by one of the very top literary agencies in both New York and Hollywood.  Looking to my own successes — it’s public knowledge that I've never been paid less than six figures for a novel — you should be able to easily recognize the value of such a query letter, which is exactly how I got my start.

If we didn’t have the pleasure of working together and you have a manuscript that you just need help getting published, I will be happy to develop a list of agents and draft the all-important query letter on your behalf.  The fee for this service begins at $950, but is FREE to my manuscript-editing clients.
